PLANE EVACUATED AFTER FIRE BREAKS OUT BEFORE TAKE-OFF
Two people were injured Sunday when a Norway-bound plane at a Turkish airport was evacuated after fire broke out in the cockpit, local television reported.
Several other passengers suffered from smoke inhalation.The incident took place at 4am local time at Antalya airport when fire broke out in the cockpit of a Boeing 737-800 of Corendon Airlines.
The blaze started shortly before the Turkish jet was due to take off for Tronheim, Norway, with 158 passengers aboard, NTV reported.
During the evacuation two passengers broke a leg and several others were later taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke, two TV stations reported.
