KINGFISHER AIR UP 5% AHEAD OF MANAGEMENT-STAFF MEETING



Kingfisher Airlines   rose 4.82% to Rs 11.50 on hopes that some solution might come out from the meeting between the company management and staff to be held later in the day.

Sanjay Aggarwal, the airline's CEO has called for a meeting with engineers and pilots from across the company's operating bases for what is being seen as a make or break meeting for the struggling debt ridden carrier at its Mumbai headquarters.

The management of the ailing airline has so far failed to convince its striking staffers to join back work. The employees, who are striking over non-payment of dues for seven months, are insisting that the salaries be paid first before they resume duty.

Last week, the airline's management, in an internal mail, has said that due to operational reasons, all flights across its network would be cancelled till October 20
