INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BE BUILT IN BAMYAN

Kabul,Afghanistan : An international airport, Shibar-2 with a runway length of 3,000 meter and width of 2,000 meter and the primary expenses of up to Af.10 million from the government budget would be built in central Bamyan province, an official said Saturday.
Speaking at a ceremony attended by Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili and governor, Habiba Suhrabi, minister of transport, Dr. Dauod Ali Najabi told reporters that the airport would be built based on the international standards and proper for any type of air crafts to use, adding the primary budget would be paid by the government.
The project for building the airport would be completed within three years expected provide by New Zealand according to the minister.
Governor Habiba Sarabi called construction of the airport from one of the Bamyan people’s desires and a great project would help tourism crafts and animal husbandry stay in permanent improvement and strengthen national and international traders’ investment as well.
