MUSCAT-TEHRAN OMAN AIR FLIGHT TO START FROM SEPT 1


Muscat and Tehran will be linked by a direct Oman Air flight from September 1. The Iranian envoy to the sultanate has expressed appreciation for the move and stressed the importance of opening up the route.

H E Hossein Noushabadi, Iranian Ambassador to Oman, said that Iran and Oman had long before emphasised the need to operate direct flights between the two countries, and according to recent agreements, the flights will begin on September 1.

Speaking to the Iranian Mehr News Agency, H E Noushabadi said that the flights will be operational on all days of the week between the two capital cities.

The booking process has begun and tickets can be booked online or through travel agents.
Flights to Tehran will depart from Muscat at 2am (three days a week) and 9.30am (four days a week) and return from Tehran at 6.10am (three days a week) and 12.40pm (four days a week), also offering connections to other destinations within Oman Air’s network.

The new Muscat-Tehran route will use Oman Air’s new Embraer 175 regional jets, which offer both business and economy class facilities.
