FEATURES OF BOEING 787 DREAMLINER THAT AIR INDIA HAS TAKEN POSSESSION OF

Here's a look at the features you will experience in the Dreamliner that Air India has taken possession from Boeing. Warning: it may be a superjumbo jet, but economy class passengers, don't expect more legroom.

IMPROVED AIR QUALITY

Advanced air-conditioning system provides better air quality. Ozone is removed from outside air. HEPA filters remove bacteria, viruses and fungi and a gaseous filtration system removes odours, irritants and contaminants.

NO GLARE 

Windows do not have shades. They are made from electrochromic glass, which dims automatically, reducing cabin glare while maintaining transparency.

OPEN FEELING 

Sweeping ceilings create an open feeling in the passenger compartment. The arch design allows people to store luggage without bumping heads, or needing to bend low to get to the window seat.

MOOD LIGHTING 

Light-emitting diodes will be used instead of fluorescent, eliminating the flickering bulbs and providing 128 colour combinations. For passengers who dislike waking to bright lights after a long flight, the 787's "mood lighting" can purportedly simulate sunrises and soft sunlight.
