AL ABEER GROUP TO BACK AIR KERALA
The Saudi Arabia-based Al Abeer Group has expressed its interest to invest in the ‘Air Kerala’ budget airline project of the state government. The group is also planning to invest Rs 800 crore in the state for the Educity project proposed to be set up in an area of 68 acres in Malappuram.
The Educity will be home for an international hospital and an ayurveda spa, said Muhammad Alungal, chairman and managing director, Al Abeer Group.
It is expected that the Educity will provide employment opportunity for 5,000 people in three years. The group which has operations in Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Qatar and Kuwait plans to expand its foot prints in India also.
