ROBREDO AIDE ALLOWED TO LEAVE PNP HOSPITAL

Manilla,Philippines : The aide of the late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo who survived the plane crash that killed his boss was discharged from the Philippine National Police hospital on Monday.

PNP director for health services Senior Superintendent Maria Angelica Vidal said Senior Inspector Jun Abrasado has been allowed to go back to his family, radio dzBB reported.
Vidal also cited power fluctuations in the hospital inside Camp Crame as a reason for allowing Abrasado to leave for now.

But she said Abrasado still needs to return to the hospital for counseling and therapy, as he is still suffering from depression due to the incident.

Abrasado was the lone survivor in the August 18 crash that killed Robredo and the plane's pilot and co-pilot. The plane was heading for Naga City from Cebu when it crashed.Robredo's remains were brought to Naga City last Sunday. He is to be cremated Tuesday following a state funeral led by President Benigno Aquino III.
