EMIRATES AND QANTAS CLOSE TO DEAL
Qantas could be ready to announce a new deal with Emirates.
The Australian newspaper is reporting that the flying kangaroo is expected to sign a codeshare deal with the middle-eastern carrier as early as next week.
Full details have not emerged yet, but the report indicates Qantas could reroute some of its services to, or through, the Emirates hub in Dubai, and end its loss making Frankfurt route.
Last week Qantas annouced a $450 million loss on its international operations, but pledged to turn that struggling unit around.
